Our office represented the owners of thirty-one South Florida homes in a wrongful death action involving more than 100 defendants, where a minor sustained fatal injury while Jet Skiing on a neighborhood lake. Additionally, we also recently defended a Scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America in a wrongful death action where a minor allegedly succumbed to heat stroke during a hike.
For almost 15 years we have represented a nationally recognized door and window manufacturer. Among other litigation, we represented this client in a construction defect/product liability suit involving an ocean-front estate in Palm Beach County valued at over $45 million. The three-month jury trial was held in 2013. We obtained a defense verdict for our client. This was one of the longest civil trials on record in Palm Beach County.
We represented a homeowner in a personal injury case where Plaintiff sustained catastrophic injuries upon falling from a ladder. Plaintiff requested the jury award approximately $2 million due to the extensive injuries sustained. The homeowner’s carrier hired us to take the case from its in-house attorneys after the trial judge struck all of the homeowner’s affirmative defenses. We are proud to report that the jury returned a verdict for Defendant.
We recently litigated a serious bodily injury matter where Plaintiff claimed to have fallen and sustained serious injury on our client’s property. Our investigation, supported by the client’s insurance carrier, led us to satellite photos proving that the condition complained of did not exist on the date of the incident. This resulted in a very favorable settlement early in the case.
We bring the same attention to detail to our smaller matters as we do to our more complex litigation.
